These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Antiques Central and its related services.
By using Antiques Central, you agree to use the service lawfully, honestly, and for its intended purposes.
You retain ownership of content that belongs to you.
Use Antiques Central lawfully, honestly, and for its intended purposes.
01 Purpose of Antiques Central
Antiques Central provides services related to antiques, collectibles, dealers, directory listings, wanted-item listings, inventory management, inventory uploads, object identification, estate sales, research, listings, and related business activities.
Antiques Central is intended to facilitate legitimate commercial and informational activity within these areas.
Users may not use Antiques Central for fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, abusive, or unrelated purposes.
02 Directory Listings
Businesses and individuals submitting information for inclusion in the Antiques Central directory agree to provide information that is substantially accurate and not intentionally misleading.
Directory listings should represent legitimate businesses, dealers, shops, service providers, organizations, or other appropriate participants in the antiques, collectibles, estate sale, or related industries.
Users are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of information they provide, including business names, contact information, descriptions, locations, services, and other listing information.
Users may not knowingly:
- impersonate another person or business;
- create a listing for a business they are not authorized to represent;
- submit materially false or deceptive information;
- intentionally misrepresent the nature of a business or its services; or
- use directory listings primarily for spam, fraud, or unrelated promotion.
Antiques Central may correct, suspend, reject, or remove directory information that appears fraudulent, misleading, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the purpose of the service.
03 Wanted Listings
Wanted listings are intended for legitimate efforts to locate antiques, collectibles, decorative objects, memorabilia, or other appropriate merchandise.
Users submitting wanted listings agree that the request reflects a genuine interest in locating or acquiring the described item.
Wanted listings may not be used to:
- commit or facilitate fraud;
- solicit illegal goods or services;
- deceive dealers, sellers, or other users;
- collect personal information for unrelated purposes;
- advertise unrelated products or services; or
- distribute spam or repetitive promotional material.
Users should describe the item they are seeking as accurately as reasonably possible.
Antiques Central does not guarantee that a wanted listing will result in a match or successful transaction.
04 Inventory Uploads and Inventory Services
Antiques Central may allow dealers, sellers, estate sale professionals, and other authorized users to upload or submit inventory information.
Inventory submissions may include:
- photographs;
- item titles and descriptions;
- prices;
- stock numbers or SKUs;
- maker or manufacturer information;
- dimensions;
- condition information;
- dates or periods;
- materials;
- categories;
- provenance or ownership information; and
- other information relevant to merchandise.
Users agree that inventory submitted to Antiques Central relates to legitimate merchandise that they own, control, represent, or are otherwise authorized to list.
Users are responsible for making reasonable efforts to ensure that inventory information is accurate and not intentionally misleading.
Antiques Central may process inventory manually or automatically, including through batch imports, spreadsheets, photographs, artificial intelligence, computer vision, or other technologies.
Inventory information may be formatted, categorized, indexed, searched, displayed, or otherwise processed as necessary to provide Antiques Central services.
Users may not use inventory upload services to knowingly list stolen property, fraudulent merchandise, illegal goods, counterfeit goods represented as authentic, or items they are not authorized to offer.
05 Object Identification and Analysis
Antiques Central may provide tools that assist with identifying, describing, researching, classifying, dating, or characterizing antiques, collectibles, decorative arts, household goods, and other objects.
Identification services may use:
- submitted photographs;
- user-provided descriptions;
- artificial intelligence;
- computer vision;
- database searches;
- historical or market information;
- automated research; and
- human review where applicable.
Object identification is intended as informational assistance.
Because identification of antiques and collectibles often depends upon incomplete photographs, markings, provenance, condition, construction techniques, or other evidence, identification results may be uncertain or incorrect.
Users should not treat an automated identification, attribution, date, maker, material, origin, authenticity assessment, or valuation as a guarantee unless Antiques Central expressly states otherwise in writing.
Users remain responsible for obtaining professional authentication, appraisal, conservation, legal, or other specialist advice when appropriate.

Antiques Central estate sale tools and services are intended for legitimate estate sale, auction, liquidation, resale, and related professional activities.

Users remain responsible for reviewing information produced through these services before publishing or relying upon it.
07 Accuracy and Honesty
Users should make reasonable efforts to provide truthful and accurate information.
Antiques Central recognizes that antiques and collectibles are often difficult to identify, attribute, authenticate, or date conclusively. A good-faith mistake does not violate these Terms.
Users may not, however, knowingly provide false information regarding matters such as:
- identity;
- ownership;
- maker or manufacturer;
- age;
- provenance;
- authenticity;
- condition;
- material;
- business affiliation; or
- authority to sell or represent property.
Information that is uncertain should be represented as uncertain rather than knowingly presented as fact.

Public listing information may be displayed publicly as part of the Antiques Central service.
Private information will be handled in accordance with the Antiques Central Privacy Policy.

Unless Antiques Central expressly agrees otherwise in writing, information provided through the service does not constitute a formal appraisal, authentication, legal opinion, or guarantee of market value.
Descriptions, identifications, attributions, price observations, research, artificial-intelligence results, and other information should be treated as informational assistance.
Users remain responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice when an item's authenticity, value, ownership, condition, provenance, or legal status is important.
11 Transactions Between Users
Antiques Central may introduce or connect buyers, sellers, dealers, estate sale companies, service providers, or other parties.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Antiques Central is not a party to transactions independently conducted between those parties.
Each party is responsible for evaluating the other party, the merchandise involved, payment arrangements, shipping arrangements, insurance, and other transaction terms.

15 Third-Party Services
Some Antiques Central services may interact with third-party providers, including payment processors, communications providers, cloud services, artificial-intelligence providers, shipping companies, insurers, marketplaces, or other businesses.
